zwave zigbee enOcean 433mhz
4g back up
power over ethernet…

The Zipatile 2 is just like its predecessor a home automation controller with built-in control panel. The new version looks nicer, offers a lot of new functionality and runs on an up-to-date version of Android. In addition, Zipato showed a new version of its smartphone app, a new version of the Zipabox and there was news about the integration of the Google Assistant.

The Zipatile 2 is visually already a considerable upgrade compared to the first version; the housing is more beautiful, more stylish and looks a lot firmer. A new quad-core Cortex-A53-based SoC makes the new Zipatile run on Android 8. The interface of the Zipatile 2 as shown by the prototype at IFA is completely different from the existing Zipatile and is the same as the new app, of which more later. However, the most important innovations are under the hood. In addition to Z-Wave and Zigbee, the new Zipatile now also supports the EnOcean and 433 MHz protocols. For those who want to use the device as a thermostat (which was already fine with version 1!) It is good to know that the new version also supports the OpenTherm protocol, which is widely used in Europe, in addition to on / off. Other innovations include support for power-over-ethernet and the possibility to implement a 3G / 4G backup connection. The large number of sensors that have been processed in the Zipatile have been retained; sound, light, humidity, temperature, movement and shock. The new controller has an 8 "screen with a resolution of 800x1280 pixels Exact specifications can be found in the brochure on the images below (click for enlargement) The new Zipatile should be available in early 2019.
